Mining Aftermarket Sales and Product Manager
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Our client is a major manufacturing Group in Saudi Arabia which supports a range of sectors including mining. With continued growth in the mining sector and based in Jeddah (but with a need to travel across the KSA), they are seeking a NEW Mining Aftermarket Sales and Product Manager who will be responsible for developing their market position within mining further, but also implementing the product support and aftermarket and services growth strategy for their dealership and excellence programs particularly on behalf Caterpillar.
Reporting to the Mining Director and with at least 5 to 7 years’ experience directly in the mining environment, the Mining Aftermarket Sales and Product Manager will also:
• Target the direct growth in aftermarket sales & product support for mining customers in KSA.
• Provide all EMP and non-EMP customers with the lowest total owning and operating costs over the life of the machine.
• Provide solutions for all equipment customers to increase parts and service sales.
• Drive profitable parts and service growth within the organisation by realising targeted returns for all key stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to good customer service protocol and generate turnover.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining a balanced inventory of parts to ensure stock turnover, parts availability, and maximum return on investment.
• Ability to coach, advice, monitor, and analyse the parts counter and warehouse.
• Responsible for market analysis of market share and our competitor’s parts pricing, establish campaign price structure to increase overall market share by maintaining profitability.
In addition, responsibilities include:
• Achieving operational targets, objectives, and KPIs.
• Increase STU and POPS-C growth (Parts & Service) for Mining business.
• Develop and sell CVA’s and technology solutions across all key mining operations.
• Operational Excellence (Parts, Service and Digital) for Mining business.
• Use OLGA and CRM to manage leads and opportunities and to inform budgeting and coverage.
• Scheduling a weekly meeting with Parts Sales and Service departments to identify future deals and repair plans and act accordingly.
• Develop annual budgets and regular forecasts with OLGA to monitor how well business forecasts align with actual performance.
• Acquire and use dashboards on sales activity (calls, logs, etc.), POPS, Caterpillar indicators, customer surveys and territory summaries.
• Training and Development of PSSR’s across region. Use the Dealer Performance Centre (DPC) to manage individual learning plans for sales reps.
• Contribute to and implement business plans and adjust models to respond to and anticipate changing market conditions.
• Create a coverage and sales execution strategy for assigning customer accounts to sales channels, optimize coverage and set staffing levels.
• Aftermarket Sales and Support (Parts and Service) to the respective regions.
• Component and rebuild forecasting & planning for Key Mining customers.
• Revenue forecasting for Parts and Service revenue streams for Mining business.
• Implement, track and report Cat Excellence & Growth Programs.
• Contribute to and implement compensation and incentive plans for all managed sales staff.
• Align and deploy marketing campaigns and consult with SMD on campaign initiatives.
• Sharing future demands/forecast with major suppliers (internal and external) to plan their parts availability and manpower.
• Controlling customers discount up to certain percentages which comply with CMD parts policy.
• Ensures high Parts availability coupled with high stock turnover and minimal dead stock.
• Ensure that up-to-date systems are in place and continuously plan for further development.
This role is measured on achieving aftermarket sales targets and growth as well as providing a class leading customer satisfaction service. You will be required to implement product support and aftermarket and services growth strategies.
Supported by a suitable degree in Engineering, Sales or similar, you must have mining experience from within the field.
You must be able to speak English to a professional level and where possible, speak Arabic – however this is not pre-requisite. In addition, you must have hands on ERP experience. Infor / M3 literacy knowledge is a plus – and dealership experience is a must.
A range of benefits and allowances are provided along with a strong basic salary level – this would be paid in Saudi Arabian Riyals.
