Overview:
We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Mobile Plant Fitter with experience of welding and fabricating, this is an excellent opportunity where you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a variety of mobile plant and equipment.
The Role:
As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will:
- Repair and maintain a wide range of mobile plant equipment.
- Service and repair mobile plant engines, including engine overhauls and diagnostics.
- Fabricate simple repairs to keep plant machinery in top condition.
- Order and fit spare parts to ensure minimal downtime and efficient repairs.
- Accurately complete paperwork for traceability and audits.
- Manage your workload to ensure plant equipment is ready when needed.
- Work on various plant equipment, including 360-degree excavators, shovels, FLT’s, tractor & trailer units, teleporters, crushers, bailers, and conveyor systems.
- Carry out service inspections and ensure all equipment complies with safety and quality standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- A proven hands on Mechanical Engineer with experience in mobile plant maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in diesel and gas engine diagnostics and repairs.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Hands-on experience with HGV and construction machinery.
- Ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to managing workload and ensuring timely equipment availability.
